Senior Accounts Executive

Location: Islamabad

Employment Type: Full-time on site

Salary Range: 80K – 100K (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Accounts Executive to take a lead role in our Finance & Accounts team. The ideal candidate will supervise junior staff, review reconciliations, and prepare management and financial reports. This position is central to ensuring accurate reporting, VAT compliance, and smooth year-end closing and audit preparation.

You will play a key role in strengthening our financial controls, supporting multiple business units, and coordinating with consultants and management for timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Review

  • Supervise and guide Executives, Associates, and Juniors in daily accounting operations.
  • Review entries, reconciliations, and financial documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and compile monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Support consolidated financial statements for multiple entities.
  • Conduct variance analysis and highlight operational or financial risks.

VAT & Compliance

  • Review VAT/tax workings and ensure timely filing and compliance.
  • Maintain documentation and liaise with consultants and auditors.

Audit & Year-End Support

  • Lead preparation of annual accounts and audit schedules.
  • Coordinate with auditors to resolve queries and ensure smooth audit completion.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong command of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in reconciliations, consolidations, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (Xero, Odoo and Zoho).
  • Advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead junior team members and ensure task completion under deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory exposure.
  • ACCA, CA-Inter, or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Familiarity with UK VAT/tax rules and reporting.
