About the Role

We are looking for a self-driven AI Data Researcher to take full ownership of data-driven projects from start to finish. This is an independent role where you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and curating data for AI and machine learning applications. You will be expected to work autonomously to ensure that high-quality data is available for AI initiatives without relying on collaboration with other technical teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Independently research, gather, and organize large datasets for AI and machine learning applications.
  • Evaluate and assess the quality of data sources, ensuring relevance and accuracy for AI model development.
  • Design and implement data collection and data-cleaning procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Develop methodologies for data annotation and data labeling.
  • Maintain and monitor data pipelines, ensuring the continuous availability of clean, structured data.
  • Document all data-related findings, methodologies, and processes for internal reference and future research purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance standards, privacy regulations, and ethical guidelines in data usage.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and insights that could enhance AI model training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data research, data collection, or data curation with a focus on AI applications.
  • Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
  • Experience with data annotation and labeling tools.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts, machine learning models, and data-driven AI development processes.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills to document data processes and findings.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with large, unstructured datasets (e.g., text, images, audio).
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and ethical AI principles.
  • Familiarity with AI model evaluation metrics and their impact on data quality.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and data management solutions.
