Job Description: Accounting & Logistics Coordinator

Position Overview

Global TradeX LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in managing end-to-end logistics for food and animal feed exports while providing essential accounting support. The ideal candidate will bring strong logistics and export experience, particularly in the food and agriculture sector, combined with a solid understanding of accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Export Management


• Oversee and coordinate import/export documentation, shipping schedules, and customs clearance, with a strong focus on food and animal feed products.


• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to ensure seamless international operations.


• Track, monitor, and proactively resolve issues related to shipments to guarantee on-time delivery to international clients.


• Ensure compliance with UAE, GCC, and international trade regulations, including phytosanitary, health, and quality certification requirements.


• Maintain accurate logistics records such as invoices, bills of lading, delivery notes, and export certificates.


• Support procurement and commercial teams in negotiating freight rates, optimizing logistics costs, and planning shipment cycles.

Accounting & Financial Support


• Record and reconcile logistics-related financial transactions (freight, duties, customs, insurance, handling charges).


• Process and verify supplier invoices; support vendor account reconciliations.


• Assist finance team during month-end closings with logistics cost allocations and accruals.


• Prepare detailed freight and export expense reports for management review.


• Provide support in data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting related to trade operations.

Qualifications & Experience


• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Business, or Logistics.


• 3–5 years of experience in logistics/export operations, with preference for candidates experienced in food, agriculture, or animal feed exports.


• Solid knowledge of import/export processes, customs regulations, and shipping documentation.


• Familiarity with international trade compliance, especially in the UAE/GCC region.


• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and ERP/accounting systems.


• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Strong organizational and supply chain coordination skills.


• Ability to manage multiple shipments, suppliers, and deadlines simultaneously.


• Attention to detail in both logistics documentation and financial data.


• Effective communication and negotiation skills for supplier and vendor management.


• Analytical problem-solving mindset with a focus on cost efficiency, compliance, and accuracy.


• Experience working in fast-paced international trade/export environments.
