Job summary

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who is passionate about effective solutions and clear communication and coordination with customers around critical and complex issues. Responsibilities would include scoping, designing and implementing core technology solutions and incident resolutions. Working with Service Desk, NOC/SOC and Cybersecurity departments to ensure critical issues and incidents are resolved on time and according to customer's expectations.

Job description

· Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-based systems on AWS, Azure.

• Architect and implement solutions leveraging various cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
• Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate cloud services into existing systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
• Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in cloud technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud security policies and procedures.
• Participate in capacity planning and forecasting for cloud resources.

· Architect effective and secure solutions for Acorn's Tier 1 customers. Develop technical architectures with Engineering, PMO and Service Desk collaboration.

· Manage incidents to resolution and provide root cause analysis.

· Perform proactive maintenance and troubleshooting on servers and networking equipment. Recommend and implement corrective solutions.

· Troubleshoot infrastructure assets, including SaaS applications, hypervisors, firewalls, and related hardware and software.

· Manage DR and backup environments for customers. Acorn uses Storage Craft and is migrating all its customers to Veeam Premium solution.

· Assist in researching long-term strategies and capacity planning to meet future software and hardware needs.

· Designing and implementing systems and tools.

· Experience in a similar position, providing systems administration support in a business environment.

· Experience with PowerShell and general scripting.

· Excellent understanding of technology with a commitment to continuous learning.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

· Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of the following: VMware ESXi & Hyper-V, Windows Server, SonicWall/Fortinet/Meraki firewalls, wireless technologies (e.g., Ruckus/Ubiquiti), VLANs, Datto/Backup Exec/Veeam, on-premises Exchange and Office 365, Azure AD, VoIP systems like RingCentral and Teams, and other relevant technologies.

Education and experience

· Bachelor's degree in computer science.

· Minimum 15 years of experience in systems engineering and critical/complex issue resolution.

· Previous MSP experience highly preferred.

· Conversational and written English fluency required.

Certifications

· Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

· Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)

· Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

· CompTIA Network+

Pay: Rs612, Rs884,000.00 per month
