About the Role

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer with 5+ years of professional experience to lead the modernization of our applications and drive our migration from Azure to AWS. This role requires deep expertise in both legacy .NET Framework and modern .NET Core technologies, strong database skills, and solid cloud deployment experience. You will work closely with our DevOps, product, and architecture teams to ensure a smooth, secure, and efficient migration.

Contract Duration:
3-4 months contract with potential for extension based on project needs and performance

Location:
Lahore, Pakistan - This is an onsite role requiring daily presence at our office

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the migration of applications and services from Azure to AWS (ECS Fargate).
  • Modernize and maintain existing applications built on .NET Framework (C#/VB.Net, WinForms, SOAP/ASMX, WCF).
  • Design and develop new solutions using .NET (C#), Blazor, and ASP.Net Core Web API.
  • Optimize database performance and write complex queries in SQL Server (T-SQL) and Postgres (PL/pgSQL).
  • Implement and maintain data access layers using Entity Framework Core (EF Core).
  • Containerize applications using Docker and deploy to AWS using best practices.
  • Define and implement infrastructure as code with Terraform.
  • Participate in architectural decision-making and recommend best practices for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure coding standards are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of migration and development projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in .NET development.
  • Strong expertise in .NET Framework (C#/VB.Net, WinForms, SOAP/ASMX, WCF).
  • Proficiency with .NET (C#), Blazor, and ASP.Net Core Web API.
  • Solid database experience with SQL Server and Postgres.
  • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core (EF Core).
  • Proven AWS experience, especially with ECS Fargate.
  • Proficiency with Docker for containerization and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Bonus Skills

  • Previous experience working on cloud migration projects (Azure to AWS preferred).
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and microservices patterns.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
