Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Structural Engineer
to lead the design, assessment, and verification of structural solutions for residential renovations such as dormers, extensions, and structural openings. The role involves preparing accurate calculations, assessing existing structures, ensuring compliance with Eurocode standards, and providing reliable input for construction drawings, permit applications, and on-site execution. You will also play a key role in quality assurance (WKB) and in optimizing work processes across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural calculations and designs in accordance with Eurocode and relevant regulations.
  • Assess existing structures based on site inspections, drawings, or photographic evidence.
  • Coordinate with draftsmen to ensure accuracy and feasibility of structural principles in construction drawings.
  • Draft technical reports and documentation for permit applications.
  • Review and verify technical documents from third-party suppliers (e.g., steel, concrete).
  • Perform verification/control calculations during construction to support contractors.
  • Contribute to the optimization and standardization of engineering and design workflows.
  • Ensure quality assurance (WKB) compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • 5-7 years
    of experience in residential construction and renovation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Eurocode and applicable building regulations.
  • Proficiency in
    Technosoft, Construct4u, and Revit
    (or similar structural design tools).
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and third parties.
  • Practical, results-oriented, and proactive approach to problem solving.
