Job purpose/ summary of the overall job assignment:
Responsible for both internal and external communications. You'll craft compelling narratives, develop engaging campaigns, and manage our communication channels (including newsletters, blogs, and informational materials) to effectively reach and connect with both our target audience and our employees. Your goal is to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, foster employee alignment, and ultimately contribute to the company's growth and success.
Key accountabilities/main responsibilities:
Content Strategy and Creation:
- Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice across all communications.
- Develop and execute a holistic marketing and communications strategy.
- Create high-quality, engaging content that aligns with the brand voice and resonates with the target audience, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media content, newsletters, and impact reports.
- Manage and grow social media presence, fostering a vibrant community and driving meaningful interactions.
- Plan and execute engaging events that promote the brand and products to target audiences.
Brand Management and Communication:
- Understand and develop brand positioning, engaging appropriate stakeholders to build brand equity.
- Provide creative, editorial, and operational support for communication projects, including brochures, presentations, and newsletters.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels (including newsletters, blogs, and informational materials) to reach and connect with both the target audience and employees.
- Liaise with the Business Development team to develop and implement a holistic marketing and promotion strategy.
- Develop internal and external communication strategies to keep employees, clients, and customers informed, engaged, and aligned with company goals and news.
- Produce and disseminate developments and achievements through press releases and proactive media outreach.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Track analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of communication campaigns.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
Technical skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
- Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content.
- Experience in Marketing Communication and Brand Management.
- Experience with a web markup language and search engine optimization.
- Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team.
- The ability to work well under pressure, produce desired results and meet deadlines.
- Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts.
- Passionate about social impact.
- Comfortable in a startup environment with dynamic working hours, and a fast-changing priority list.
Desirable
- Experience in the specialty coffee industry or similar agricultural value chains
- Experience with copywriting for social enterprises, or non-for-profit sector
- Experience with Startups
- Experience in event organization
- Flexibility to travel
Experience required:
- 5+ years of experience preferably in a communication or marketing role, with solid copywriting experience
- Preference in the food and beverage industry.
