About the Opportunity

Renexus Resource Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Academic Research Writer to join our professional in-house team in Karachi. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse academic and research-based projects while collaborating with a team dedicated to delivering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth literature reviews and data-driven research to develop well-structured academic deliverables, including essays, dissertations, theses, and research papers.
  • Content Development: Create clear, original, and academically sound content across multiple disciplines.
  • Quality Assurance: Proofread, edit, and refine written materials to ensure grammatical accuracy, logical coherence, and factual integrity.
  • Formatting & Referencing: Apply appropriate citation styles (APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, etc.) with precision.
  • Data Handling: Utilize research and data analysis software such as SPSS, MATLAB, EViews, and Stata to interpret data for research-intensive projects.
  • Time Management: Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Engage in team discussions, provide feedback, and contribute to a collaborative work culture focused on quality and results.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Language Mastery: Exceptional command of English grammar, vocabulary, and academic writing tone.
  • Research Proficiency: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize information effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Referencing Knowledge: Deep familiarity with citation styles and formatting standards.
  • Professional Attributes: Detail-oriented, dependable, proactive, and capable of working under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma, A-Levels, or Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of proven experience in academic or research writing.
  • Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as SPSS, MATLAB, EViews, or Stata.
