Job Purpose:

The Cashier (Accounts) is responsible for handling all cash transactions, maintaining accurate daily financial records, and ensuring proper reconciliation of accounts. This role bridges daily cash operations with the accounts department to ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile daily cash records.
  • Prepare daily cash reports and submit to the accounts department.
  • Keep proper records of petty cash and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Verify and post transactions in accounting software (if applicable).
  • Assist the accounts team with reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Handle disbursements for approved payments (salaries, vendor payments, petty expenses).
  • Safeguard cash and financial documents to avoid discrepancies.
  • Report any mismatch or irregularities to management immediately.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cashier, accounts assistant, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cash handling, accounting principles, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software or ERP preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Trustworthy and reliable with financial data.
  • Good communication & coordination skills.
  • Qualification: B.Com / BBA (Accounts/Finance) or Intermediate with accounts experience.
  • at lest 2 year experience
