As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking dedicated Mining Leading Hand to join our team in Reko diq, Pakistan.

Mining Leading Hand

Location:
Pakistan

The Mining Leading Hand will be responsible for coordinating and supervising daily mining activities, providing guidance and support to crew members, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with operational plans. This role involves monitoring equipment and resources, maintaining production targets, assisting with problem-solving on site, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-shift and planning meetings with supervisors and communicate job plans clearly to the crew
  • Coordinate and supervise mining activities to ensure production targets, floor levels, dig/dump designs, ramps, and hauling routes are achieved
  • Monitor and record floor levels, dump compliance, and wall batter performance, escalating to surveyors or supervisors when required
  • Ensure hot seat changeovers, shift handovers, and crew movements are organized efficiently to maximize productivity
  • Drive crew vehicles (coaster/LV) when required and ensure operator competency assessments are completed
  • Conduct daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments (Take 5, PSI, etc.), and ensure compliance with company safety standards, procedures, and policies
  • Mentor and support less experienced operators, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and escalate operational issues that may impact safety, compliance, or production, and contribute to problem-solving and improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate statutory and operational reporting, including shift reports, inspections, and audits
  • Act as site supervisor when required, ensuring seamless continuation of operations and compliance with client and company standards
  • Other duties as directed

Requirements

  • Diploma for Earth Science
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 6 years in the drilling/mining industry
  • Experience working in multinational and culturally diverse environments

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be fit and able to perform the inherent requirements of the job
