The Mobile Engineering team builds world-class travel experiences that connect millions of users to Wego's products through intuitive, high-performance mobile applications. As part of Wego's AI-first engineering culture, the team actively integrates intelligent tools and automation into their development workflows to accelerate coding, testing and innovation. By leveraging modern frameworks, clean architecture and continuous optimization, the team delivers fast, reliable and scalable apps that define how users interact with Wego's global travel platform.

The Role:

As a Senior IOS Engineer, you will take ownership of complex, multi-person projects that directly impact millions of travelers around the world. You will lead the design, architecture and delivery of high-performance iOS features, setting the standard for technical excellence across our mobile ecosystem.

This is a hands-on leadership role for engineers who thrive on large-scale impact, balancing innovation, stability and business needs. You will guide technical decisions, mentor peers and champion engineering best practices across teams.

Whether you use GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex, Cursor or others, you will leverage AI to ideate, code, refactor and test faster and smarter. What you will be working on:

• Lead the design, development and optimization of advanced iOS features using Swift and Apple's frameworks
• Drive technical strategy and architecture for large components ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Partner with product, design and backend teams to deliver seamless, high-quality user journeys
• Use AI-powered coding tools such as Copilot, Codex, Claude and Cursor to enhance development speed and quality
• Conduct in-depth code reviews, enforce best practices and maintain high test coverage standards
• Profile, debug and optimize app performance across a wide range of iOS devices
• Define and implement CI/CD practices for continuous testing and delivery
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of Wego's mobile platform

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead iOS development projects and deliver reliable, scalable features
• Champion AI-assisted development to improve speed and quality
• Drive architectural and performance excellence across mobile projects
• Mentor team members and contribute to Wego's long-term technical roadmap

Skills and experience:

• 7+ years of iOS development experience including large-scale app delivery to production
• Expertise in Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI with deep knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines
• Proven experience architecting apps using MVVM or Clean Architecture
• Strong understanding of concurrency, Combine and modular architecture design
• Skilled in performance profiling, memory optimization and debugging complex issues
• Hands-on experience integrating with REST APIs, analytics tools and monitoring systems
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools such as Copilot, Codex, Claude and Cursor to boost productivity and innovation
• Ability to review and verify AI-generated code for security, performance and maintainability
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with experience working across teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with Swift Concurrency, Combine or cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, crash analytics and mobile DevOps
• Previous leadership experience as a Tech Lead or mentor within an iOS team
• Contributions to open-source projects, technical writing or speaking at developer events
• Familiarity with backend services, distributed systems or mobile analytics pipelines
