Role Summary

The RTW Lead Designer will own the creative and technical direction of Zuria Dor's Ready-to-Wear collections. This role blends creative design innovation with deep technical expertise in embroidery, print, and bulk production processes, ensuring collections are aesthetically strong, production-friendly, and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Lead the RTW design process from research, concept development, and sketching to sampling and final approvals.
  • Translate brand identity into cohesive seasonal collections with market relevance.
  • Develop detailed technical packs for production teams.

Technical Expertise

  • Apply knowledge of
    multihead embroidery, block & screen printing, and embellishment techniques
    to design development.
  • Work hands-on with pattern making, draping, and garment construction to ensure precision.
  • Guide selection of fabrics, trims, and surface techniques for scalability.

Production Alignment

  • Collaborate with pattern masters, sampling, and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee design adaptation for
    bulk production
    without losing creative integrity.
  • Monitor fit trials and sampling iterations for quality assurance.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide creative and technical direction to junior designers, interns, and artisans.
  • Liaise with marketing and styling teams for campaign visuals, lookbooks, and storytelling.
  • Coordinate closely with supply chain and vendors for timely execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design (Masters or equivalent preferred).
  • 6–8 years of experience in RTW design with exposure to bulk production.
  • Strong portfolio showing RTW design with embroidery and surface techniques.
  • Expertise in
    pattern making, multihead embroidery, block/screen printing, and garment finishing
    .
  • Strong understanding of production constraints and scalability.
  • Ability to balance creativity with brand DNA and business needs.
  • Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills.
