We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Import / Export Officer
to join our Import Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the entire import process — from purchase contract to customs clearance — ensuring compliance, efficiency, and smooth operations. A strong command of
MS Excel
is mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit
    LC applications
    and related documents (insurance, e-stamp, etc.).
  • Arrange
    Marine & Fire Insurance
    , manage PPR payments, and coordinate with banks.
  • Follow up on LC drafts, SWIFT messages, and amendments, and share with suppliers.
  • Manage documentary instructions, draft shipping documents, and obtain internal approvals.
  • Handle
    customs-related documentation
    : duty calculations, GD preparation, filing, clearance, and cargo release.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, inspection agencies, and clearing agents for timely execution.
  • Maintain accurate import records, policies, and correspondence for audit and compliance.
  • Prepare and monitor
    LC planning charts
    to ensure timely shipment execution.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in
    imports, LC handling, and customs clearance
    .
  • Strong knowledge of import documentation, banking, and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in
    MS Excel
    (mandatory).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
