What your typical day will look like

  • Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals, timelines, and budgets and oversee capital expenditure for new projects.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Sourcing and Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations and contracting with vendors and manage contracts to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.

What you need to succeed at this role

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred) with 10 years of progressive experience
  • Proven track record in negotiating contracts, cost reduction strategies, and supplier management
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on optimization and exceptional problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with an ability to inspire and motivate a team
