Job purpose of the position:

The primary purpose of the HSE Trainer position is to enhance the overall safety culture by providing comprehensive and effective Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) training to all employees and contractors. This role is critical in identifying training needs, developing and delivering training programs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The HSE Trainer aims to equip the workforce with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify and mitigate hazards, thereby reducing incidents and promoting a safe working environment.

Brief outline of key responsibilities:

· Conduct a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for the site based on Hazard/Near Miss reporting and site incidents.

· Assess the knowledge level of workers on hazard identification and risk perception during the TNA.

· Develop a comprehensive site-wide training plan based on the Training Need Analysis

· Prepare training materials/presentation slides on HSE subjects for all HSE trainings identified in the training matrix and any project specific HSE trainings.

· Conduct trainings as defined in training plan

· Coordinate with relevant departments and the Mine Excellence team for training nominations and invitations.

· Update HSE training matrix and annual training plan based on revised training need analysis.

· Maintain consolidated record of training covering all workforce at site including contractors

· Develop automated training dashboard and share weekly update

· Ensuring that all safety training records are maintained accurately and are up to date.

· Conducting regular safety workshops and seminars for employees at all levels.

· Develop audio/Visual training modules in local language

· Develop pre & post assessment for knowledge level check for each training

Job Specification

Education level/ Discipline required

Any Science bachelor's degree or Diploma from a reputed university/institution.

Relevant year(s) of experience required

05-07 experience of delivering Health & Safety Training.

IOSH, NEBOSH, Train the Trainer
