Job Title: Medical Coder

Job Description:

We are seeking a Medical Coder with a background in pharmacy to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience in medical coding and claims processing. This role involves reviewing medical documents, applying accurate codes, and ensuring compliance with payer and HIPAA regulations to support smooth billing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medical and pharmacy-related records for accurate documentation.
  • Assign correct ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on medical and pharmaceutical data.
  • Ensure coding accuracy for billing and insurance claim submissions.
  • Work with billing teams to resolve coding errors and claim denials.
  • Stay updated on changes in coding rules, payer policies, and compliance standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field (mandatory).
  • 6 months – 1.5 years of experience in medical coding.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical data, and coding systems.
  • Familiarity with EHR and billing software.
  • Attention to detail with good analytical and communication skills.

Location: Near Old Airport. Fazal Town Phase 2, Rawalpindi.
