Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fight Story Researcher & Script Writer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for combat sports—especially boxing, MMA, and wrestling—and a strong ability to research real-life fight stories and transform them into engaging, emotionally driven scripts for visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on real-life fighters, rivalries, and historic fights across various combat sports.
  • Identify unique, inspiring, or dramatic fight stories suitable for cinematic adaptation.
  • Write compelling scripts and narratives based on research findings, maintaining factual accuracy while enhancing dramatic appeal.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop scripts that align with our production style, tone, and brand.
  • Ensure timely delivery of research summaries and completed scripts.
  • Maintain originality and creativity while adhering to specific format and tone guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in scriptwriting, preferably in sports, documentary, or action-based content.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to analyze and extract key storytelling elements from real-life events.
  • Deep knowledge of combat sports (boxing, MMA, wrestling, etc.) and understanding of fighter journeys and terminology.
  • Excellent command of written English with strong storytelling and narrative-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and originality.
  • Familiarity with script formatting and screenplay standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in journalism, creative writing, filmmaking, or related fields.
  • Portfolio or samples of past scriptwriting work.
  • Passion for sports films, documentaries, and storytelling through visuals.
