Job Summary:
The Event and Social Media Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing school events while managing and growing the organization's social media presence. This role ensures consistent branding, communication, and engagement across all online and offline platforms to promote the school's activities, achievements, and culture.
Key Responsibilities:Event Management:
- Plan, organize, and manage internal and external school events (e.g., Annual Day, Sports Day, Parent-Teacher Meetings, Admission Campaigns).
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and school staff for event logistics, setup, and execution.
- Prepare event budgets and ensure cost-effective management.
- Manage event invitations, registration, and follow-up communication.
- Capture and archive event photos, videos, and testimonials.
Social Media Management:
- Develop and implement social media strategies across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Create engaging content including posts, stories, reels, and graphics.
- Monitor and respond to messages, comments, and inquiries promptly.
- Track analytics and performance of posts and campaigns to improve reach and engagement.
- Promote school events, admission campaigns, achievements, and activities online.
Additional Duties:
- Work closely with the marketing and academic teams to align messaging.
- Conduct live coverage of school events on social media.
- Design promotional materials (flyers, brochures, social media ads).
- Maintain the content calendar and ensure timely posting.
- Assist with internal communication materials like newsletters or announcements.
Qualifications and Skills:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in social media management, event planning, or related fields.
- Experience in the education sector is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficiency in social media tools (Meta Business Suite, Canva, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Basic photography/videography and editing skills.
- Creative thinking and attention to detail.
Work Conditions:
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends for events.
- On-site work presence is required for coordination and content capturing.
Performance Indicators:
- Growth in social media followers and engagement.
- Number and quality of events organized.
- Audience feedback and participation rates.
- Timely and high-quality content delivery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs60, Rs80,000.00 per month
