We are seeking a Cloud Architect with 3–4 years of hands-on experience, specifically in designing, planning, and executing cloud migration projects. A strong background in migrating Ruby on Rails applications is essential for this role. You will play a key part in modernizing legacy infrastructure and ensuring seamless transition to scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud architecture strategies for application and infrastructure migration.
  • Lead end-to-end Ruby on Rails application migrations to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Assess existing application stack and develop tailored migration roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, backend, and infrastructure teams to execute migration plans.
  • Ensure application scalability, availability, and performance post-migration.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices where needed.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Document architecture diagrams, migration plans, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and migrations.
  • Proven experience migrating Ruby on Rails applications (at least 3–4 successful projects).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and deployment strategies.
  • Familiarity with Rails deployment tools (Capistrano, Heroku CLI, etc.).
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
