Accountant (Payables)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant (Payables) to manage vendor invoices, payments, and expense tracking. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of accounts payable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record, verify, and process vendor invoices and payments.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable ledger and reconcile balances.
- Monitor due dates and ensure timely settlement of supplier bills.
- Handle petty cash and staff reimbursements.
- Coordinate with procurement and other departments to validate purchase orders and expenses.
- Prepare reports on payables, outstanding liabilities, and cash flow requirements.
- Assist in monthly and yearly closing of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and tax requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial regulations, and taxation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, ERP, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with vendors.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
