Tax Officer/ Tax Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns, including Sales Tax, Income Tax, and Withholding Tax.
  • Ensure timely deposit of taxes and maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
  • Review vendor and supplier tax compliance, including tax deduction and certificate issuance.
  • Assist in handling tax audits, assessments, and notices from FBR or other tax authorities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to collect data for tax filings and reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of advance tax estimates and annual tax computations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, SROs, and circulars affecting business operations.
  • Prepare management reports related to tax payments, liabilities, and compliance status.
  • Assist in tax planning and advisory to ensure efficient tax structure.
  • Liaise with external tax consultants or auditors for compliance reviews and assessments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Taxation (B.Com, M.Com, ACCA, CA Inter preferred).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate taxation, preferably in a large organization or audit firm.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act 1990, and related FBR regulations.
