The
Deputy Manager Production
is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring adherence to production plans, maintaining quality standards, enforcing safety protocols, and optimizing productivity. The role requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and coordination with cross-functional departments to meet production targets effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise efficient production in line with the approved production plan.
  • Ensure timely receipt of complete kits and relevant documentation before production issuance.
  • Oversee preparation of new model samples and ensure approval from QAD prior to production.
  • Continuously improve productivity and quality through process optimization and skill development.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and discipline within the production hall at all times.
  • Ensure on-time start and completion of production activities daily.
  • Guarantee safety of personnel, machinery, and products during production hours.
  • Verify completion of daily attendance within 15 minutes of shift start.
  • Ensure sufficient availability of kit parts at all production operations.
  • Monitor and maintain serviceability of lines, tools, and equipment (both in use and standby).
  • Ensure all testing equipment is functional and has a valid calibration certificate.
  • Conduct monthly surprise checks of all AC inventories.
  • Plan and manage training for production personnel to ensure skill enhancement and compliance.
  • Ensure completion of daily maintenance routines as per schedule.
  • Enforce application of SOPs and work instructions within assigned production sections.
  • Report production stoppages, equipment failures, or any incidents to the Factory Manager within 15 minutes.
  • Supervise proper shutdown procedures and secure locking of the production hall post operations.
  • Ensure no manual entry of barcodes for indoor and outdoor units.
  • Manage write-off of unserviceable or irreparable materials in production.
  • Maintain a record of pending units, including kit-wise details and barcodes.
  • Enforce strict safety compliance across all areas of responsibility.
  • Perform any other allied tasks assigned by the Factory Manager.

Qualifications:

  • B.E / B. Tech (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical or related field).
  • Minimum
    10 years
    of experience in a managerial capacity (for B.E), or Minimum
    15 years
    of experience in a supervisory capacity (for B. Tech).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and production tracking tools.
