  • Position Purpose

*

  • The Deputy Manager – Warehouse & Logistics will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and distribution activities. This role ensures efficient material handling, storage optimization, and timely dispatch while maintaining cost control and compliance with company policies.

  • Key Responsibilities
    1. Warehouse Operations Management

*

  • Supervise daily warehouse functions including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.

*

  • Ensure proper warehouse layout, space utilization, and storage systems for maximum efficiency.

*

  • Maintain operational discipline and adherence to safety standards.

*

    1. Inventory Control

*

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock verification and reconciliation.

*

  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses, damage, or obsolescence.

*

  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply.

*

  • Develop reports for slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock items.

*

    1. Logistics & Distribution

*

  • Plan, manage, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations.

*

  • Coordinate with transporters and freight forwarders to ensure timely material delivery.

*

  • Optimize transportation routes and costs without compromising service quality.

*

  • Maintain documentation related to shipping, logistics, and customs (where applicable).

    1. Performance & Reporting

*

  • Prepare and present periodic reports on inventory, warehouse productivity, and logistics costs.

*

  • Analyze workflows to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.

*

  • Support management in decision-making through accurate data and insights.

*

    1. Compliance & Cost Control

*

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal standards.

*

  • Control operational expenses related to transportation, labor, and equipment maintenance.

*

  • Participate in audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

  • Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • MBA or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in warehouse, stores management, and logistics at a managerial level.

*

  • Skills & Competencies

*

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.

*

  • Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems and reporting tools.

*

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

*

  • Effective communication and leadership skills.

*

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure.

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.

*

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data-driven decision-making.

  • Sound understanding of logistics cost optimization and warehouse safety standards.

  • Team collaboration and cross-functional coordination.

  • Strategic thinking with attention to operational detail.
