Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager Cloud Core Operations is responsible for managing NFVI Cloud Core infrastructure that supports mobile core networks (EPC, CS Core, IMS, Signalling and 5G).

The role ensures high availability, performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency of the cloud platform while driving automation, optimization, and cross-functional coordination.

Job Responsibilities
Cloud & NFVI Infrastructure Management:

• Plan, implement, develop, and test hardware and software components of the cloud platform.
• Design and plan NFVI Cloud Core solutions aligned with commercial and market requirements.
• Maintain NFVI Cloud hardware (Rack/Blade Servers), FusionStorage, FusionSphere, FusionStage and integration with eSight for alarms, SIEM/ PAM and KPIs.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure, compliant, and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Architecture, Design & Lifecycle Management

• Manage VNF lifecycle including on-boarding VNFs, scaling, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Define and review NFVI Cloud architecture, HLD and LLD designs.
• Work with Linux, OpenStack, FusionSphere, and MANO stack (MAE/Orchestration, VNFO).
• Ensure storage security standards and data protection policies are implemented.

Performance, Capacity & Optimization

• Monitor system performance, capacity, and future requirements; optimize cloud resources and processes.
• Track and report KPIs of FusionSphere, FusionStorage, and NFV hardware (IOPS, bandwidth, latency).
• Regularly assess and enhance cloud system performance, security, and scalability.
• Continuously review and recommend system and process optimizations.

Automation, Security & Compliance

• Implement automation and upgrade infrastructure to meet evolving business needs.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and reporting.
• Analyze security threats, perform audits, and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Monitor NFVI Cloud licenses, certificates, and configurations (FusionSphere, FusionStorage, hardware).

Project, Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Oversee NFVI Cloud projects end-to-end, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Handle network expansion projects and manage vendor coordination.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Commercial).
• Finalize SLAs and manage tasks for commercial and marketing teams, ensuring KPI and performance reporting.

Telecom Core & Network Operations

• Manage NFVI Cloud service flows and documentation for EPC, CS Core, IMS, Signalling and other mobile core services.
• Apply deep knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/5G network architecture.
• Support network optimization, service awareness, and parameter standardization.
• Documentation & Governance:Prepare and verify planning tasks, configurations, and SOPs for system integration.
• Maintain design documents, audit records, compliance reports, and operational manuals.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering.

Work Experience

• 6–10 years of experience in IT, Cloud Computing, EPC, and 5G Core environments.
• Extensive experience in NFVI Cloud Core networks and Packet Core service flows.
• Proven expertise in planning, designing, and configuring NFVI Cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience with PS/EPC and NFVI technologies.

Skills - Job Specific:

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Linux, OpenStack, FusionSphere, and MANO stack.
• Strong understanding of public and private cloud, IaaS, PaaS.Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Knowledge of SDN/Non-SDN, HANA, HPC, IoT, and AI environments is an advantage
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, etc.)
