Role

10Pearls is seeking a highly skilled Full-stack Developer with expertise in Elixir/Phoenix, React (TypeScript), and AWS technologies. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and intuitive frontend applications. You will own feature planning including high-level design (HLD), testing, and load testing phases. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, and applying best engineering practices are critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex features and systems, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Take responsibility for the overall code quality of the projects, ensuring adherence to company engineering practices, such as CI/CD and secure coding.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to ensure the technical direction aligns with business goals.
• Identify technical risks early in the project lifecycle and proactively work on mitigating them.
• Embrace a consulting mindset by translating technical requirements into business solutions and proposing scalable, efficient approaches.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and mentees, fostering technical growth and sharing best practices.
• Assist in the development and improvement of team processes and workflows to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Stay updated on new technologies and trends to continuously improve technical skills.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a strong background in both backend and frontend technologies.
• Backend: Strong proficiency in Elixir and Phoenix framework. Experience with Absinthe (GraphQL wrapper for Elixir) is essential.
• Messaging & Queues: Experience with Kafka and AWS SQS for asynchronous communication and event-driven architecture.
• Frontend: Expertise in React v18.3 with TypeScript and Apollo Client for GraphQL data fetching and mutations. Familiarity with Ember JS (specifically for Zipbooks) is a plus.
• Node JS & Vanilla JS: Solid experience in and vanilla JavaScript for cross-functional development tasks.
• Styling & UI: Knowledge of Skylab Design System components, Emotion for styling, and using Trinity Design System to build consistent UI.
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS (ECR, S3, SQS, etc.), Docker, Rancher, and setting up/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Feature Planning: Capability to produce High-Level Design (HLD) documents and oversee feature development through all phases including load testing.
• Software Engineering: Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, clean code, testing methodologies, and maintainability.
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to deliver efficient, scalable solutions for complex problems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across different teams and technologies, adapting quickly to evolving project requirements.
