Job Overview:

Emirates Talent Solution is hiring a highly experienced Chief Accountant for a leading property development and real estate company based in Karachi. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably within the real estate and property development sector. This position requires expertise in financial reporting, taxation, compliance, audit management, and cash flow monitoring. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting senior leadership with timely and accurate financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per IFRS.
  • Ensure accuracy in accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger operations.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage income tax, sales tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audit cycles.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor and manage daily cash flow and banking activities.
  • Oversee loan payments, reconciliations, and treasury operations.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and liquidity reports.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget variances and implement cost control strategies.
  • Ensure financial transactions comply with internal controls and budgets.

Audit & Internal Controls

  • Lead both internal and external audit processes.
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial reporting procedures.
  • Propose improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and compliance.

Team Supervision

  • Supervise a team of junior accountants and finance staff.
  • Provide training on accounting standards, software, and reporting practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations.

Key Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Certifications:

CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA (qualified or part-qualified) – Preferred / Required

Experience:

Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role within the property development sector – Required

Technical Skills:

  • Strong command of IFRS, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP software.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage teams, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100, Rs300,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
