Company Description

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), established under the Punjab Safe Cities Ordinance 2015, is dedicated to ensuring the establishment, development, and maintenance of an integrated command, control, and communication system (PPIC3) for public safety in major cities of Punjab, Pakistan. The Safe City concept aims to enhance security and quality of life through the use of technology, infrastructure, personnel, and processes. The PSCA's PPIC3 Center, initially developed in Lahore, will be expanded to other large cities in the province. Additionally, PSCA has identified 2000 locations to install more than 10,000 surveillance cameras, covering public institutions, key infrastructure, roads, crime hotspots, VVIP routes, entry and exit points, and public places.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Executive Officer-Data Science located in Punjab, Pakistan. The Executive Officer-Data Science will be responsible for designing and implementing data analysis and algorithms to support PSCA's integrated command, control, and communication systems. The role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets, developing predictive analytics models, and generating actionable insights to improve public safety measures. Additionally, the executive will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create data-driven strategies and monitor the performance of implemented solutions.

Qualifications

  • Data Analysis, Data Processing, and Predictive Analytics skills
  • Experience with data collection, data cleaning, and managing large datasets
  • Strong proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in public safety, surveillance systems, or similar domains is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
