Finance Manager

Get Licensed is a fast-paced technology business at heart (the majority of our team are developers or tech wizards), and we are at an exciting stage of our business, having tripled since 2020.

We have ambitious plans to significantly scale our existing business, broaden our product suite, and continue to grow profitably revenue year on year, with a clear roadmap of how we will get there. We are looking for a full-time Manager Finance to work with our finance team.

The successful candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with significant hands-on experience in managing a finance team. They will be willing to roll up their sleeves where required, help with the day to day accounts, as well as being comfortable looking at the bigger picture. They will be confident in running their finance team, and take overall financial responsibility. The Manager Finance will report to the GM Finance in PK , and together they will create a positive and productive working environment, agree on objectives and deliverables which will be achievable, and which will also drive the business forward. 

What you will be doing: 

• Manage the finance team, including finance associates and specialists, and ensure effective team performance and collaboration
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's growth objectives and industry best practices
• Provide timely and accurate financial reports, forecasts, and analysis
• Extensive practical experience in preparing and managing consolidated financial statements
• Oversee the company's budgeting and forecasting processes
• Oversee all payroll activities
• Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and treasury
• Lead financial risk management efforts, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies, as well as conducting internal audits of processes
• Manage all UK and PK taxation including filing of the VAT return
• Manage all statutory filings and compliance with local regulation, and manage the annual audit
• Manage relationships with external partners such as auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
• Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy, and to automate processes where possible
• Insourcing all outsourced accounting activities
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions, including pricing strategies, investments, and cost optimization
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment with business strategies

What we are looking for:

• Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, ICAP, ACCA)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team across two geographies
• Ability to learn quickly and apply accounting guidance to new and varied transactions and revenue streams
• Superb critical thinking skills
• Very strong excel, analytical, problem-solving skills
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage, develop and implement new processes to align with the best practices
• Fast learner who stays abreast of the latest finance and accounting developments
• Great team leader
• Minimum of 5 years experience of hands-on bookkeeping and accounting
• Minimum 2 years managing a finance team
• Proficient in Xero accounting software 
• Knowledge of local (PK) and international (UK) taxation
• Experience with an international company
• Involved in at least one fundraise
• Streamlined and automated processes
