Salary
: 90K to 100K

Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Chemistry or Food Technology
  • Proficiency in QCM module of SAP S/4 Hana preferred.

Experience
: 4–6 years in Quality Control / Food Testing within food manufacturing or FMCG sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

About the Role

Our client, a leading name in the Food Industry, is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Team Lead to manage and oversee all product testing, inspections, and quality validation processes. The role involves ensuring that every raw material, in-process item, and finished product meets the company's strict quality standards and complies with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the QC laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and timely testing of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain testing protocols and QC standards in line with 
    HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP guidelines
    .
  • Conduct sensory evaluation, chemical, and microbiological tests to ensure product safety and consistency.
  • Monitor in-process checks on production lines to maintain product quality throughout manufacturing.
  • Investigate quality deviations and non-conformities, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
  • Prepare detailed QC reports and communicate findings to production and QA teams.
  • Train and mentor QC staff in testing methods, equipment handling, and compliance with SOPs.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and procurement to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and validation of lab instruments and equipment.
  • Promote a culture of 
    accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
     within the QC team.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of food testing methods, laboratory practices, and QC tools.
  • Hands-on expertise in microbiological testing, chemical analysis, and sensory evaluation.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP standards.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Team management and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems is a plus.
