Position: Java Developer

Summary

Java developer at Systems Limited will have a solid background in Linux systems, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture. This role requires a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to best practices such as documentation and design-first development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 8+, J2EE, and JSF frameworks.
  • Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring proper use of HTTP methods and response codes.
  • Work within microservices architecture using Spring Boot and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Automate deployment and operational tasks on Linux systems using scripting and automation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud solutions on platforms such as Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
  • Ensure code quality by adhering to best practices in design, documentation, and testing.
  • Continuously learn and adopt new technologies relevant to the project (e.g., GCP PubSub, Secret Manager).
Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Java 8+ / J2EE / JSF development.
  • Expert knowledge of Linux operating system and automation/scripting skills.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Working knowledge of both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Couchbase) databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with open-source stacks like Apache Tomcat.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for technology and the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
