Payroll & Accounts Officer

Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll and Accounts Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll and ensuring compliance with all applicable income tax laws in Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries to all employees.
 - Compute income tax deductions from employees' salaries in accordance with the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 and related laws.
 - Prepare monthly income tax statements and deposit income tax withheld to the tax authorities within the prescribed time limit.
 - Maintain accurate records of income tax and payroll-related transactions, including documentation and filings.
 - Monitor changes in income tax regulations and ensure that the payroll system is updated accordingly.
 - Coordinate with other departments, including HR and Finance, to ensure that employee records are up-to-date and accurate.
 - Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and respond to tax-related inquiries and notices from tax authorities.
 - Provide support during tax audits and ensure that all tax-related documents and information are readily available.
 - Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to payroll and income tax.
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
 - 2-3 years of experience in payroll management and income tax compliance in Pakistan.
 - Strong knowledge of income tax laws and regulations in Pakistan.
 - Experience with payroll software and accounting systems.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
 - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
