Job Summary

We are looking for skilled and motivated Fiber Optic Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic networks. This is a field-based role requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform fiber splicing using fusion splicer and testing using OTDR, VFL, Power Meters etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic issues, including signal loss or cuts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations and repairs.
  • Install and terminate fiber optic cables (FTTH/FTTB/OSP/ISP).
  • Coordinate with NOC, deployment teams, and site supervisors.
  • Ensure all work follows safety and quality standards.

Experience Requirements:

  • Must have experience of underground fiber network, joints & aerial fiber network development & maintenance.
  • Proven experience in underground & aerial fiber cable network installation, maintenance, splicing, and testing.
  • Familiarity with tools such as OTDR, splicing machines, VFL, light meters, etc.
  • Ability to read network diagrams and splicing plans.
  • Willing to travel to various project sites as needed.
  • Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments.
  • Good understanding of Active Network, Signal levels, GPON, EPON, and FTTx networks.
  • Effective response to service disruption events and ensure timely restoration (within defined ETTR).

Qualification:

  • Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) / intermediate or higher.
  • Age bracket below 32 years (36 for Supervisor)
  • Two to three years of experience will be preferred
  • Preferably from Lahore and must own a SMART Phone and Motorbike
  • Integrity and honesty
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Must be willing to work in rotational day & night shifts.
