About the Division:

Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited, the subsidiary company of Al-Futtaim group of Dubai, is a story of rollicking success. With consistent corporate achievements, the company is recognized for corporate excellence and "Best Corporate Performance".

With its Corporate office in Lahore, the AGTL plant at Dera Ghazi Khan, manufactures New Holland (Fiat) tractors in technical collaboration with CNHI - Case New Holland, the Number One manufacturer of agricultural tractors in the world. The AGTL plant, an icon of engineering dynamics operates on high efficiency. With Quality Control and Quality Assurance, quality improvement systems exist at every level. ROLE PURPOSE:

The main objective of Manager Health Safety and Environment is to develop and implement organizational safety programs with the close coordination with Al Futtaim HSE function and leadership team of AGTL.

KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Directs and promotes the Company in building and engaging in a proactive safety culture.
• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures, conduct risk assessment, accident prevention, health initiatives and acknowledged personal responsibility.
• Ensures updating, review and auditing of the AGTL HSE System in accordance of OHAS
• Ensures that the HSE management system is in compliance with HSE policy, guidelines, applicable standards and instructions
• Undertake environmental health and safety planning, including setting of goals, agreeing priorities, and establishing adequate systems for HSE management
• Facilitate the maintenance and management of environmental health, safety and well-being through systems, audit/ inspection and the establishment of high standards and expectations on employees of service excellence and safety awareness behaviours
• Facilitate internal auditing and external auditing as per the audit schedule and ensure tracking and close of remedial action
• Ensure that all fire and safety equipment are maintained. Plan and manage the safety drives
• Ensures emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place to manage emergency situations
• Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans
• Manages and reviews work site hazard assessments, identifies unsafe acts/conditions or unsafe behaviours, provides support, guidance and recommendations for corrective action to management team
• Advise on matters relating to the Environment and Health and Safety at work including the obligations and responsibilities of managers and employees; and provide comprehensive and practical advice to managers on best practice
• Arrange training programs both in-house and externally for AGTL employees/factory
• Collaborate with internal departments and contractors with the common goal of reducing workplace injuries

Education:

• 4 years Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• NEBOSH IGC certification

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

• 4 to 6 years' experience in similar role
