Qualification
Bachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience as a logistics/ transportation specialist in a related industry.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of transportation industry regulations.
- Proficiency in transportation management software.
- Superb leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and shows decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to provide operational support outside of business hours.
- Willingness to travel out-station in case of cargo damage during accidents.
Responsibilities
- Planning and managing logistics, transportation and custom related matters at site.
- Optimizing and coordinating full order cycle.
- Liaising and negotiating with warehouse team, transport team, customs official, logistics team and EPZA team at site.
- Ensure that all cargo entering the site is in proper condition and all documentation is in place.
- Processing transportation documentation and monitoring drivers' tracking.
- Ensure that KPIs provided to the transporter are met on a daily/ monthly basis.
- Collaborating with internal departments to optimize transportation services.
- Evaluating driver performance, handling customer queries, and resolving complaints in a timely manner.
- Complying to transportation regulations and company policies.
