Job Description:

  • Provide vision, leadership and direction in Information Security to safeguard HBL Microfinance Bank information assets
  • Preparation of policies and procedures in line with best market practices
  • Implement Information Security framework to ensure the bank systems and data must be protected from any threat
  • Identification and prioritization of critical information system assets
  • Periodic risk-based vulnerabilities identification exercise
  • Impact assessment of identified vulnerabilities
  • Prioritize all material information Security risks
  • Carry out effective Information Security Risk management process
  • Ensure implementation of controls and corrective measures to address vulnerabilities:
  • Establish a comprehensive testing program to validate the effectiveness of controls and information security environment on regular basis
  • Preparation of Cyber Security Action Plan to proactively address the likely cyber-attacks in order to anticipate, withstand, detect, and respond to cyber-attacks in line with international standards and best practices
  • Implementation of robust Incident Reporting Mechanism to capture and report incidents to senior management/BoD/regulator as applicable 30% Position Profile: Chief Information Security Officer
  • Liaison with other industry players to learn from their experience to improve HBL MFB's resilience capabilities and preventive mechanism
  • Raising security awareness among employees and getting them to carry out best practices
  • Performs other any other task as assigned by immediate supervisor, senior management or board

Job Specification:

  • Minimum of 6 years Management experience
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant industry/field experience
  • B S/MS or relevant degree in Computer Sciences or Information security or cyber Security
  • CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CCSP, CEH or similar certifications

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Understanding of, and practical experience of applying the Data Security and privacy, and other related legislation, standards and codes of practice
  • Must have excellent technical communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to influence at senior levels on matters relating to security and information risk
  • Ability to manage time and priorities appropriately
  • Team Player, ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills and decision making
  • Positive attitude towards learning and development demonstrated by a record of continuing professional development
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, motivational, team-building skills
  • Be able to demonstrate a positive, logical, and proactive approach while executing the assigned tasks
  • Mentor various teams in Information Security domain to improve their skills to effectively carry out their routine tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skill
