Position Summary:

The Social mobilizer will be responsible for project field level implementation activities including community mobilization, conducting assessments, selection of beneficiaries as per criteria and ensure ground level implementation of project structural and capacity-building activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy of community interaction and hold first dialogues meetings with the communities.
  • Ensure assessment and registration of beneficiaries as per defined criteria
  • To work with the community to ensure that they are responding to identified needs and have the full participation of the community.
  • Formation of village development committees through social mobilization for CBT activities.
  • To establish and maintain contact with Committees on regular bases.
  • To prepare disbursement plan in collaboration with Cash Disbursement Committees.
  • To organize and conduct meeting with the community.
  • To assist project office for preparing case studies on successful events.
  • Ensure community participation in cash based transfer's assessment, planning and implementation
  • Ensure the conducive environment at disbursement points through community engagement techniques
  • Reporting daily, weekly and monthly progress to relevant quarters
  • Liaise and work with community groups and projects to ensure accountability and best use of project resources

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelors in Social Sciences, international relations, Health care or any related field.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in social mobilization preferably in CBT programme.
  • Good level of spoken and written Sindhi and local languages.
  • Excellent behavior change communication and counselling skills.
  • Excellent skills in organizing workflow, capacity to follow protocols and take own initiative.
  • Excellent ability to work as part of a team.

Human Appeal has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of staff as well as beneficiaries. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone's responsibility. All staff must adhere to the Code of Conduct that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (both during work hours and outside work hours).
