Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and teamwork. You will assist in supervising junior chefs, maintaining quality control, and contributing to menu development while working closely with Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen.
  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with the restaurant's standards.
  • Supervise and support Commis Chefs and junior team members.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented on time and to the highest standard.
  • Maintain a clean and organized section at all times in compliance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
  • Assist in the creation and development of new dishes and menus.
  • Maintain inventory and assist with stock rotation and ordering when required.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to the Head Chef.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes.
  • Support the Head Chef in any other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, preferably at a senior level.
  • Culinary degree or formal training is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for food and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Experience in high-end or fine dining establishments (if applicable).
  • Understanding of cost control and menu engineering.
