Senior Accountant- Transition to Demand Planner

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant who is eager to grow into a Demand Planner role within our fast paced and expanding organization. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional who is ready to take on a challenging position that plays a critical role in driving the success of our company.

You will initially bring your strong accounting and analytical foundation and with our training, transition into one of the most important positions managing demand planning. You will work alongside another experienced Demand Planner handling a different brand giving you the support and exposure needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and eventually lead demand planning for assigned brand.
  • Develop, maintain and optimize demand forecasts using sales trends, seasonality and market insights
  • Partner with cross functional teams (sales, supply chain, production and operations) to ensure alignment on demand and supply
  • Monitor inventory levels, shipments and production schedules to meet customer and seasonal needs
  • Provide detailed reporting and analysis to senior leadership on sales performance, forecasts and variances
  • Work with finance team with accounting related tasks while transitioning into planning responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or related field (CPA/CMA a plus)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance or related analytical role
  • Strong numerical, analytical and Excel/ERP system skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership
  • Interest in supply chain, forecasting and demand planning preferred
