To lead the company's Research & Development function, ensuring the design, prototyping, and delivery of premium, innovative, and durable home appliances. The role demands hands-on leadership in managing the full R&D lifecycle—from concept design and vendor evaluation to prototyping, testing, and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • R&D Leadership: Drive product innovation in alignment with the company's vision of premium, tech-forward, and durable appliances.
  • Prototyping & Development: Establish clear processes for prototyping and identify reliable vendors/facilities for rapid iteration.
  • Vendor Management: Conduct due diligence of vendors and suppliers for components, ensuring quality, compliance, and reliability.
  • Sourcing Oversight: Ensure best-in-class materials and components are sourced, meeting the company's high standards of safety and durability.
  • HVAC & Thermal Innovation: Apply expertise in HVAC systems, thermal management, and materials science to guide next-generation product development (e.g., heat pump water heaters, air purification systems).
  • Team Management: Guide, mentor, and build R&D teams with strong technical and executional capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams to align R&D outcomes with business goals.
  • Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all R&D activities meet safety, environmental, and international quality certifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation of R&D processes, testing protocols, and vendor assessments.
  • Continuous Innovation: Keep track of global technological trends (IoT, energy efficiency, materials science) and integrate where relevant.

Key Requirements

  • Mandatory: Only qualified engineers (BSc/MSc) may apply.
  • 12–15 years of progressive R&D experience in consumer electronics or appliance manufacturing.
  • A deep understanding of HVAC technologies, thermal management, and materials science is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading R&D teams from concept to commercialization.
  • Strong vendor network and knowledge of prototyping houses, tooling, and testing facilities.
  • Deep understanding of premium product development—design, functionality, durability, and compliance.
  • Ability to balance innovation with manufacturability and cost efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
