ML/Data Scientist Lead

2. We have engineering teams working on Web Apps, Desktop Apps, Mobile Apps, Data Science & Machine Learning, DevOps, and QA Projects.

3. Our clientele is mostly USA based; however, we've got happy customers in UK, MENA region, Singapore, and Pakistan.

4. We have offices in New Hampshire USA, Portugal, and UAE. In Pakistan, we are based in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

About the Role:

As a Data Analyst Lead, you'd be working as a bridge between our data science team on one end, and software development and cybersecurity teams on the other. Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking and collaboration skills would be your key capabilities to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Join an existing product team of software engineers, data scientists and machine learning engineers, working on a security analytics platform, and take ownership of the project.

2. Collaborate with the product and cybersecurity team, receive their requirements, and propose optimal solutions based on open-source or in-house-components –– acting as a key enabler for build vs buy decisions.

3. Critically analyze the AI/ML research initiatives for security analytics use cases and guide the R&D team towards effective prototyping.

Must Haves:

1. At least 4 years of experience working as a data scientist / data analyst, who has worked on all stages of data science pipeline –– data mining, exploration, pre-processing, feature engineering, modeltraining, and visualization.

2. Experience working as a Data Science / ML engineer in one of the following:

a. Predictive analytics.

b. Network traffic analysis.

c. Analytics based on logs data.

d. Malware / cybersecurity use-cases.

1. Experience working with or creating data architectures.

2. At least 1 year of experience working as a self-organized team lead, with ability to drive the team progress against planned milestones.

3. Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to demonstrate work to executive management.

4. Strong R&D skills and ability to quickly adapt and effectively utilize new tools (open source and commercial)

5. Reasonably good full Stack web development skills, especially in a JS based tech stack.

Nice to Haves:

1. Prior experience working as a Security Data Analyst.

2. Prior experience working with the development team of an analytics product would be a plus.

3. Full Stack web applications development experience, with good understanding of common integration architectures involving Opensource libraries and frameworks.

4. A good understanding of the TCP/IP stack would be a plus.

5. Experience working with real time data-acquisition and processing pipeline, based on Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, would be a plus

6. Master's Degree, with specialization in Data Science is preferred.

7. Experience with both relational and non-relational databases is preferable.

Basic Requirement:

1. BS Computer Science or Electrical / Computer Engineering with focus on data-science and machine learning.

2. Proficiency in either R programming language, Python or Scala is required.

3. Working knowledge of common machine learning algorithms.

4. Ability to identify and code algorithms and deploy solutions on cloud services.

5. Working knowledge of Deep Learning based frameworks.

6. Working knowledge of Spark, Hadoop framework, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Amazon AWS services and Micro service architecture would be a plus.
