The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.

This is a grant-funded contractual position.
 

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:

develop and monitor project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budgetcoordinate cross-functional health teams, assign tasks, track progress, and foster a collaborative, high-performance environmentserve as primary liaison with stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders, maintaining communication and strong relationshipsmanage project finances by monitoring expenditures, preparing reports, and ensuring alignment with financial plansidentify risks and implementation issues, develop mitigation strategies, and address challenges promptly throughout the project lifecycleprepare and submit progress reports, document decisions, scope changes, and lessons learned for accountability and future referenceensure quality standards by implementing review processes and addressing any gaps in deliverables promptlybuild team capacity by identifying training needs, facilitating learning activities, and supporting knowledge transfer among staff and stakeholders

Qualifications
You should have:

  • a minimum of master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Health, Medicine, or a related field from an HEC recognized or reputable foreign university
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an asset
  • minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in health or development sectors
  • proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • strong financial management and budgeting skills
  • excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • proficiency in project management software and tools
  • the position may require travel to project sites in Tando Allahyar and other locations as needed

  • flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary to meet project deadlines
