Role Overview

We are looking for a Shopify Developer to join our IT team in a hybrid capacity. This is a single-role opening where the selected candidate will enhance our eCommerce storefront design, build custom functionalities, and ensure smooth backend–frontend integration. The role will directly impact how we deliver seamless user experiences to our customers and will focus on storefront development, custom Shopify features, and backend flexibility for non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities

Across all functions, you may be expected to:

  • Enhance and maintain Shopify storefront design for improved user experience.
  • Develop custom functionalities using Liquid, metafields, meta objects, and other Shopify tools.
  • Build backend update fields for every frontend functionality to allow easy non-technical edits.
  • Lead Shopify speed and performance optimization by minimizing liquid render-blocking, optimizing assets (JS, CSS, images), and ensuring Core Web Vitals compliance.
  • Integrate third-party applications and APIs as needed without compromising site performance.
  • Collaborate with design teams (Figma → Shopify) to translate UI/UX into functional storefronts.
  • Ensure mobile responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO-friendly coding practices.
  • Document development work and ensure proper knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–3 years of professional experience as a Shopify Developer.
  • Strong command of Shopify Liquid, metafields, and meta objects.
  • Proven track record of converting Figma designs into functional Shopify storefronts.
  • Hands-on experience with speed optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, compression, CDN usage, app minimization, etc.).
  • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with Shopify themes, custom apps, and integrations.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with eCommerce/DTC business models.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
