BYD Pakistan, Mega Motor Co, is looking for a "Manager Legal" in their Legal department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Law / LLB or equivalent

Experience:

7+ years of post-qualification legal experience

Location:

Head Office – Karachi

Manager Legal will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the General Manager Legal in managing the company's corporate, commercial, intellectual property (IP), and compliance matters. The role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented legal professional with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the automotive, manufacturing, or energy sector, or in a reputable law firm.

The individual will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents, including supply, procurement, marketing, distribution, and service agreements, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, internal policies, and corporate governance standards. They will provide legal opinions and strategic advice to internal stakeholders, identifying legal risks and recommending effective mitigation strategies.

Manager will also support the handling of dispute resolution, arbitration, and regulatory matters, coordinating with external counsel as needed. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to offer legal input on corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and legal due diligence.

In addition, the Manager Legal will be responsible for managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, including registration, protection, enforcement, and renewals. They will conduct legal research, provide updates on regulatory developments, and help ensure the organization remains compliant with evolving laws and industry standards.

This position demands strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to upholding legal integrity and supporting the company's strategic goals.
