We are seeking a motivated and skilled
Software Engineer
to join our growing tech team and contribute to key digital projects across the group.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Development and Maintenance

  • Design, develop, and deploy responsive websites using modern web technologies (React, , WordPress, etc.)
  • Regularly update and maintain websites across BF Group's ventures to ensure content relevance and technical stability
  • Implement UI/UX changes based on team inputs or client feedback

2. LMS Upgradation and Support

  • Lead and manage upgrades and custom development for our Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Integrate third-party plugins, develop custom features, and ensure multilingual compatibility
  • Collaborate with educational teams to implement course structures, quizzes, certificates, and learning flows

3. Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide backend support and maintenance for websites, e-commerce stores (e.g. Shopify, WooCommerce), and internal platforms
  • Debug and resolve server-side issues, perform log analysis, and apply security patches as required
  • Coordinate with hosting providers (DigitalOcean, Bluehost, etc.) for DNS, backups, and deployments

4. Performance Optimization

  • Optimize websites for page speed, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility
  • Conduct regular audits to identify performance bottlenecks (using tools like Lighthouse, GTmetrix, etc.)
  • Implement security best practices including HTTPS, firewall configurations, and anti-spam solutions

Required Qualifications and Skills

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and frameworks like React, , or
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Moodle) and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce)
  • Strong understanding of backend technologies , PHP, Python) and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Docker, and command-line tools

Additional Skills:

  • Understanding of SEO principles, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Working knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and server environments (Linux, Apache/Nginx)
  • Experience with performance tuning, caching strategies (Redis, Cloudflare), and CDN integration

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years in a full-stack web development or software engineering role
  • Experience working in startup or multi-venture environments
