About the Role

We are looking for a talented
Software Engineer
with strong expertise in
PHP
and
WordPress backend development
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining robust web applications, customizing WordPress (themes, plugins, APIs), and ensuring performance, scalability, and clean coding standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain
    PHP-based web applications

  • Design and implement
    custom WordPress plugins and backend functionalities
    .
  • Extend and optimize WordPress core features, APIs, and database structures.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX teams to integrate backend logic with front-end designs.
  • Write clean, scalable, and reusable code with proper documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex backend issues.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external systems.
  • Ensure
    security, database optimization, and performance tuning
    for WordPress applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in
    PHP development
    .
  • Strong hands-on experience in
    WordPress backend development
    (custom plugins, hooks, REST API, database handling).
  • Proficiency in MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
