Title: Senior IT Executive – IT & Network Support

Position Overview:

The Senior IT Executive – IT & Network Support will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the University's IT infrastructure. This role will ensure smooth operations of all IT systems, networks, and digital platforms that support academic and administrative functions. The incumbent will provide technical support, oversee IT security, manage campus networking systems, and lead initiatives to upgrade technology in line with institutional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all campus IT systems, including servers, networking equipment, and communication platforms.
  • Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, internet connectivity, and user-related IT issues for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks to ensure uninterrupted services.
  • Implement and maintain IT security measures, including firewalls, antivirus systems, and data backup solutions.
  • Manage installation, updates, and licensing of software and digital tools across campus.
  • Provide technical support for classrooms, computer labs, and online teaching platforms (e.g., LMS, Zoom, Teams).
  • Lead and mentor junior IT staff in providing effective and timely IT support.
  • Maintain IT inventory records and oversee procurement of IT equipment and accessories.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related projects, upgrades, or maintenance.
  • Support AV setups, multimedia systems, and IT infrastructure during academic and outreach events.
  • Ensure IT compliance with institutional policies and data protection standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT support and network management (experience in higher education/TNE institutions preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls).

  • Proficiency in system administration (Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, email systems).

  • Familiarity with ERP, LMS, and database management systems is an advantage.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to supervise IT operations effectively.
