Description:

We are seeking a Senior Local SEO Expert with deep expertise in driving measurable business growth through advanced local search strategies. This role goes beyond executing routine tasks — it requires a strategic thinker who can take ownership of outcomes, set direction, and lead ongoing optimization efforts across multiple clients or locations.

You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and refining Local SEO strategies that align with broader marketing and business goals. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and confident in making data-backed decisions that directly impact visibility, engagement, and lead generation.Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Local SEO Leadership

• Develop and lead comprehensive Local SEO strategies tailored to each client or business location.
• Audit existing performance to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
• Translate ranking factors, data insights, and algorithm updates into long-term strategic actions.

2. Advanced Local Search Optimization

• Oversee Google Business Profile optimization, including category strategy, services, visuals, and engagement tracking.
• Implement and monitor structured data, schema markup, and location-based on-page SEO improvements.
• Ensure all efforts align with Darren Shaw's Local Ranking Factors and current best practices.

3. Authority, Citations & Reputation Management

• Direct the management of citations, aggregators, and local backlinks for accuracy and authority.
• Partner with the review management team (Birdeye or equivalent) to strengthen reputation signals.
• Monitor NAP consistency and ensure 100% accuracy across the local ecosystem.

4. Leadership & Collaboration

• Collaborate with content, web, and analytics teams to ensure local intent is embedded across all digital touchpoints.
• Mentor junior SEO specialists and guide their technical and analytical development.
• Communicate performance trends and opportunities clearly to internal stakeholders or clients.

5. Performance Measurement & Accountability

• Set measurable goals around visibility, engagement, and lead generation.
• Build dashboards using BrightLocal, GA4, and Looker Studio to track key metrics.
• Present monthly and quarterly insights — not just what was done, but what was achieved and what comes next.

Qualifications Required:

* 3+ years of hands-on experience in Local SEO, preferably in a senior or lead role.

* Proven record of improving Local Pack rankings, GBP engagement, and organic conversions.

* Mastery of tools such as BrightLocal, SEMrush, Ahrefs, GA4, and Looker Studio.

* Strong understanding of local ranking factors, citation management, schema, and link acquisition.

* Ability to lead strategy discussions and drive measurable outcomes independently.

Preferred:

• Agency experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
• Familiarity with review management tools (Birdeye, Podium, Trustpilot).
• Working knowledge of WordPress and GBP API integrations.
• Strategic mindset with a bias for action and accountability.
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to balance high-level strategy with detailed execution oversight.
• Strong leadership qualities; able to inspire and direct cross-functional collaboration.
