Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented NOC Engineer with over 2 years of professional experience in Linux administration, network operating systems, and modern NOC practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring continuous monitoring, incident response, and proactive management of IT infrastructure and services to maintain high availability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network infrastructure, servers, and applications through NOC tools and dashboards.
  • Perform incident detection, analysis, escalation, and resolution in line with SLAs.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and network operating environments.
  • Ensure timely communication and reporting of outages, degradations, or anomalies.
  • Execute routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and system audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Network, Security, and Support) to resolve complex issues.
  • Document incidents, root causes, and resolutions to improve knowledge base and future response.
  • Implement latest NOC methodologies, best practices, and automation for efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide 24/7 coverage on a rotational shift basis to ensure continuous service uptime.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in a NOC or similar operational environment.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, etc.).
  • Experience with network operating systems, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, incident management, and escalation protocols.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualification/Experience:

  • Exposure to scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with SIEM, log management, and security monitoring tools.
