About the role

You will be the client-facing lead who turns business problems into cloud/data solutions and sees them delivered. You'll handle pre-sales, scoping, solution design, light project management, and account growth, partnering with our web dev and specialist engineers.

What you'll do (outcomes)

  1. Business development & pre-sales (30%): qualify leads, run discovery, craft solution options, write SOWs/proposals, present to CXOs.
  2. Solution design (25%): design data pipelines, storage/warehouse (BigQuery/Redshift/Snowflake), BI (Power BI/Tableau/Looker), and cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP) with cost/security in mind. Light hands-on PoCs when needed.
  3. Project management (25%): create plans, user stories, and timelines; run standups; manage risks; keep scope, budget, and quality on track.
  4. Account ownership (15%): stakeholder updates, QBRs, expansion roadmaps, renewal hygiene.
  5. Enablement (5%): Build reusable proposal decks, pricing templates, and case studies; mentor junior staff.

Must-haves:

  • Exceptional communication (English + client writing): can run discovery, synthesize requirements, and present to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technical depth across: SQL & data modeling; ETL/ELT (e.g., dbt/Airflow); one major cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP); BI tool (Power BI/Tableau/Looker); Python familiarity for data tasks.
  • Delivery chops: Agile habits (Jira/ClickUp), SOWs, change control, risk/issue logs.
  • Commercial mindset: can estimate, price, and defend trade-offs; comfortable with margin targets.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Certifications: AWS SAA/Pro, Azure Architect/DP-203, or GCP Data Engineer; PMP/CSM.
  • Security/compliance basics (IAM, encryption, backups, DR).
  • Prior startup or consulting experience.
