We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager Tax to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in Pakistani taxation who is ready to take on a leadership position. You will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance, managing audits, and contributing to strategic tax planning for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Reporting:

  • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and filing of all tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and withholding tax, with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and provincial tax authorities.
  • Manage tax provisions and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and IFRS/accounting standards.

Tax Audits & Advisory:

  • Act as a key point of contact for tax authorities, managing tax audits, notices, and correspondence.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on tax assignments and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of tax compliance and awareness within the finance department.

Tax Planning & Strategy:

  • Assist in developing and implementing tax-efficient strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
  • Stay updated with amendments in tax laws and regulations to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A professional accounting qualification (CA / ACCA finalist) is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in taxation, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Pakistan's Income Tax Ordinance, Sales Tax Act, and other provincial tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and e-filing portals.
